This intensive is so valuable and well conducted that I unhesitatingly attended it again only six months after the first time, because I wanted to be sure I absorbed all of it. I’ll be repeating it again, likely yearly. I am an experienced teacher and will now be a much better one, as well as a much more well-rounded and effective martial artist.

For me the videos were incredibly useful. In my area there are no longer any sort of fencing clubs other than the occasional SCA group. The videos provide an incredibly useful resource that I find far more engaging than studying the various manuscripts on my own.

The level one instructor intensive is a focused effort to share Devon’s mastery and the Academie Duello program as it relates to both rapier and longsword. I found myself pleasantly and thoroughly challenged, mentally and physically. The course filled in a lot of gaps in my current knowledge and technique and pointed me toward other material I need to research and train. I highly recommend this course!
