  Hello there. I’m Steve Frey (frAy), a long time martial artist originally from southern California. Now residing in northern Colorado. I’ve been in the martial arts community for over 30 years now. Primarily practicing southern praying mantis kungfu and Yangjia Taijiquan. While I’ve been tangentially involved with European swordsmanship in a hobbyist capacity, (28 years involvement with the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA)) nearly exactly one year ago I decided to take a deep dive into historically accurate European martial arts and promptly discovered Academie Duello. I completed this MasterClass during its inaugural run earlier this year, but decided I wanted to do it BETTER. So, I’m back for more. See you all online and in the forums!
