First week I’ve done this but I thought finishing up each week with a recap summary would be nice.
This week I was fairly unmotivated to do much solo work. I did make it out to spar with Wes and that was nice. I did really well against him and was even “trying” different things to see if I could pull them off. Trying specific provocations, as well as trying, over and over again, gaining his sword on his left (though he was still hitting me most of the time when i did that… ha).
This week was overall a success. I did finish Manciolino and look forward to studying it further in class.
This next week I want to focus again on some videos. The solo videos will run out and need to make a plan to shoot a bunch of partner videos. Maybe the end of the month class, or the fight day, would be great times to shoot those.

Saturday
Finished Manciolino first read through. Will be preparing lessons for the club next month.

Wednesday
Utilized some time today to cut with the sidesword sword. Just simple x and ’round the clock” switching hands. Simple, but good.

Tuesday
Free sparring day with a friend. I was looking to work on provocations. Getting the blade out, and prepared, to defend the invited attack.

Monday
Taught my longsword class tonight, and managed to get in about 20 minutes of free sparring.
Also shot a partner video assessment.

Week two

- Solo practice – Shoot 5 Solo videos a week
- Partner practice – Try and find a pickup practice so as to practice some longsword drills myself. Also would like to shoot some partner videos for my assessment.

- Three times a week, do the NTC HIIT training

Friday
Took the duello online spear class today
Also made it most of the way through the HIIT workout on the NTC app. Yay!

Thursday
Met with a partner and did some light drilling in prep for his tournament Saturday.
Also shot some assessment videos and end up submitted a few, but a few need to be redone.

Wednesday
Shot a bunch of Blue cord videos today. Good day.

Tuesday
Did the NTC HIIT routine and it kicked my butt. Was only able to finish about half of it. bah
Also, grab the spear and went “walked around it” a few times as in last weeks spear class. Then grabbed the long sword and did a few cuts with it. 5 minutes in all plus the HIIT workout.

Sunday, Went through the spear class from Friday. It was really good info, hard to follow using my short stick and no partner. Not Devon’s fault I want to be clear. I’d love to get drills with proper weapon and partner.

I’ve been struggling this week.
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday I did nothing.
Saturday I read Manciolino for a little over an hour though. So I’m counting that as a day.

I thought about emailing you, but thought I’d wait a little while. Thought maybe you(or the team) just had not been able to accomplish it yet.
I just checked and 10/28 is still not available. 11/4/ looks like it’s up and available though.
