Week 3: Porta di ferro
Day 1 (Tues): medium practice

Day 5 (Sat): online longsword class working on 18 poste progression, scholar’s assault and Marozzo’s two-handed sword assault

Day 4 (Fri): worked through parts 1-7 of the Marozzo sword and buckler assault and then did a sword and rotella online class

Day 3 (Thurs): 40mins stretching and working on range of movement

Day 2 (Weds): 10mins working on sottani and mezzani cuts

Day 1 (Tues): big practice

Day 5 (Sun): workshop on Marozzo’s first assault with sword and buckler

Day 4 (Sat): longsword class working on 18 poste progression, first part of scholar’s assault and first part of Marozzo’s two-handed sword assault.

Day 3 (Fri): half an hour of partner practice working on all the partner exercises from the Week 1 training plan.

Day 5 (Sat): longsword class + watched the Effective Slow Sparring webinar.
Reflection: good training week. Will mainly be offline for the next two weeks and I imagine training will decrease to about 5 mins per day but will try to keep something going. New Year’s resolution is to get back to the assessment videos!

Day 4 (Fri): fairly big training day – caught up on a missed double sidesword class and then attended a virtual double sidesword class.
