I purchased a SMALLRIG super clamp that easily attaches to the top of the tripod. The clamp holds steel longswords well ( I place it at the sword POB). The adjustment lever allows me to point the sword up or Down and it also pivots horizontally. I purchased this thru Amazon . Costs just 8 dollars Hope this helps someone.

Did 30 minutes today focusing on approaching giocco with a longsword.
I purchased and setup a camera tripod to hold a rapier and the placed it directly in front of a BOB training dummy. This gives great feedback and context for the drills.

I find committing to a length of time each day and doing training with a playful attitude is helpful.I find music also very helpful.
I find that going slowly and smoothly with attention to details is the most productive way for me. Speed and power to early covers up mistakes and creates incorrect muscle memory.

Today I trained 25 minutes of longsword followed by 15 minutes of yoga.
Yesterday and today’s work have focused on Fundamentals course. I have also been working on the course work from Sunday. Lots to do and lots to catch up on.

Hello Ivan
Good to hear from a fellow Boisean (sp?) I will be moving back to retire in Boise in July. My back ground is primarily German longsword (beginner level), some basic Japanese sword training and some fencing in college eons ago. My undergraduate studies were heavily focused in science and history. Perhaps we can meet up in the future.

Hi Greg
I have setup my training room but not added video capability yet. I am 65+ and a bit technically challenged so it’s going to take a while
