Gaining the Angled Sword – Self-Assessment

Self-assessment when performing this skill
Create a self-assessment video to compare to the master above. Perform the following actions in the video, repeated twice:
- Strike your partner with a mandritto fendente, gaining their sword which is pointed to your left.
- Strike your partner with a roverso fendente, gaining their sword which is pointed to your right.
- Strike your partner with a mandritto fendente, gaining their sword which is pointed to your left in posta finestra.
- Strike your partner with a roverso fendente, gaining their sword which is pointed to your right in posta finestra.
Compare your video to the master video and confirm the following details:
You cut against the edge of the opponent’s sword that gave the best crossing angle
You led with the true edge, and contacted the opponent’s blade with the forte
Your arms were extended forward fully to gain your partner’s sword before you stepped with your back foot to strike
You struck the opponent, having crossed over their sword
