10 minutes – Practice Lunging with a Focus on Avoiding the Common Errors
- At misura stretta (the firm-footed lunge): 10 lunges with right lead, 10 lunges with left lead.
- At misura larga (the stepping lunge): 10 lunges with right lead, 10 lunges with left lead.
- Practice slow. Use a mirror, partner, or camera to inspect your form for errors. Be aware of:
- proper alignment of sword in offensive posture,
- straightening of back leg,
- full foot connection with the back foot,
- and alignment of the lead knee over the lead foot.
