10 minutes – Practice Lunging with a Focus on Avoiding the Common Errors

  • At misura stretta (the firm-footed lunge): 10 lunges with right lead, 10 lunges with left lead.
  • At misura larga (the stepping lunge): 10 lunges with right lead, 10 lunges with left lead.
  • Practice slow. Use a mirror, partner, or camera to inspect your form for errors. Be aware of:
    • order,
    • proper alignment of sword in offensive posture,
    • straightening of back leg,
    • full foot connection with the back foot,
    • and alignment of the lead knee over the lead foot.
