hi Daniel. I think it would be great if you wrote them all out—that would be a lot of actions!
I think you’ll see that he ends each posta with the motion to the next posta, and includes all his actions inbetween. It is a bit more of an exposee than a drill of sorts. A brief exploration of each guard.
Not sure if that answers your question. Hit us up if you need more clarification. Cheers!

LIke Jen said, in the reverse-weight-tip-up posture, finestra is an invitational position. You invite your opponent to strike you under the blade (inside the window), then you pass back and roll your blade into posta longa and come down on top of theirs to cross with leverage.

hi David. Sorry, I don’t think we covered that on Friday.
In my opinion, the short answer is: anything. Any training is more (and better) than zero.
That said, picking one drill or idea and repeating it or improvising on it is a start. You could do a little bit of footwork on Monday, a little bit of cutting on Tuesday, a little bit of point accuracy (thrusting) work on Wednesday, quickly go through each guard on Thursday, and just do flow on Friday. That kind of thing?
DuelloTV has the excellent and free Daily Drill to serve up activities to you every day for longsword and rapier.
Alternatively, you could do a little meditation/reflection on Monday, write a bit in your journal on Tuesday, read about something martial arts on Wednesday, create a bit of training plan (drills and reps) on Thursday, reach out to a martial arts buddy and write an email to them on Friday.
The list goes on. Ten or twenty minutes worth of any activity is time spent moving forward along your path. Hope that helps. I know you’ve got the heart for it, and you’ll do well. Cheers!

AdministratorJan 5/21 at 9:26 pm in reply to: Roverso Mezzani…half cuts sections (both) which edge?Great question, David. At 2:11:20 of the Sunday Foundations replay Devon shows how to use that “crossed arms” false edge when cutting the half blow (that start in posta di donna sinestra). That roverso is striking with the false edge.
The half blow roverso mezzano starting from posta di donna is the only one roverso mezzano that uses the true edge (thanks to the thumb grip switch).
All the other roverso mezzanos are false edge. The full blows are palm up (easy), the half blow from sinestra finishes with arms crossed. You’ll also see more of the “arms crossed” false edge mezzano in that lesson in the Longsword Fundamentals I adjunct course.
Hope that helped. This will likely be a good topic to bring up in the Friday Q&A! Keep going!

AdministratorJan 5/21 at 7:30 pm in reply to: Cutting Reverso mezzano from Posta di donna SinestraYou are correct, Thomas. Cut #5 of Left Side Half Cuts (roverso mezzano) is what you’re looking for–just start from posta di donna sinestra.

AdministratorJan 6/21 at 9:14 am in reply to: Emotional Training Environment – Blocks & SupportThanks for sharing, Quinton. You’ve got a lot of energy, obviously, and I think you’ll do great in sorting out the details of your emotional training.
Eat that elephant in small bites, as they say. You can do it!

Smooth! I like it, Quinton. The sword motion is constant and very fluid. Get your hips lower (deeper squat) and work your balance. Keep going!👍
