Welcome, Feradach! Nice to have you aboard.
I saw your note about trying to find the slide deck links. They are now located under the first video in the series. The At-Home Environment slide deck is here.
Looking forward to training with you. Greg

I’ve really been enjoying the rapier (light) workouts in my online teaching debut this month. I taught a program called SwordFit for years in Vancouver, and have brought the same format forward for the rapier. I like!

I’ve had mixed success in the use of a weigh scale in the past. It was a great help to me when doing my big turnaround about seven years ago. It became an obsessive liability a few years ago when I was trying to use it as a lifestyle control mechanism. Now that I’ve got a better perspective on moulding lifestyle again I’m considering getting one and finding a place for it to fit in. Considering.

There’s no official submission needed for that assignment. It was means as a do-it-for-yourself kind of thing. Feel free to post it into the forums somewhere if you like. Hope that helps.

hi Jeff. Good question, and one that every practitioner of any art comes across eventually. I have found that there are simply chapters of life that allow for more intense practice and longer practice sessions, and seasons of life that do not. It’s in those lean seasons that staying even tangentially connected to the art has payoffs, like leaving land fallow. That said, even once a week you may be able to find an hour to set everything else aside and just be a swordfighter practicing his art.
It’s a short answer back to a longer question, but trust that you can find a longer chunk of quality time somewhere in there, and that busy seasons give way to less busy. Good luck!

We hope so, and pray for peace everywhere.
That said, it is possible to glimpse the “true” fight from a distance by exploring its many facets, without actually entering into one:
- speed
- intensity
- cost of losing
- glory of winning
- bravery
- mercy
- mindfullness
- mindlessness
- bullet time
The list goes on.

Sunday’s coaching call for March is up for viewing on demand. Enjoy!

Great to chat with you today in live class, Steve. I do take time to rant at my journal, the steering wheel, and the nature chickens I meet in the woods. I find it therapeutic. Cheers!
